Life-long Asheboro resident Linda Carter has served on Asheboro City Council for over 8 years, serving as chair of both the Redevelopment Commission and Community Appearance Commission.  She also serves on the City’s Public Works committee.

Carter’s community involvement includes the Cross Road Baptist Church, the Cross Road Retirement Community, Randolph County Republican Women and the American Business Women’s Association.

Her interest in serving on City Council came about because of her interest in helping other people.  Her goals include improving minimum housing standards and implementing minimum business standards.

“I want Asheboro to continue to be a city where families and individuals want to come and live,” said Carter.
