City Council

The City Council consists of seven members elected by and from the qualified voters of the city.  Members serve four-year terms.  The Mayor Pro Tempore is selected by and from the members of the council.

The council meets regularly on the first Thursday of the first full week of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the City of Asheboro Municipal Building.  The council may also hold publicly announced special meetings.
