Land Development Plan Updated:

An informal information session held on Thursday, August 27 yielded several comments on the proposed updates to the Land Development Plan.  The LDP was presented to City Council in a public hearing at its September 10 meeting and subsequently continued to the October 8 meeting, at which time it was adopted.

Overview:
The Land Development Plan serves two essential purposes that work together to achieve our community inspired vision:

1. To guide the type, location and pattern, appearance, environmental impact, and infrastructural support of development

2. To aid staff, Planning Board, City Council, and citizens in the development decision-making process

The plan has been updated to be more action-oriented—guiding development toward our community-inspired vision and applicable for everyday planning decisions.

This is an update, not a total rewrite. Only those sections listed in red in the table of contents have been updated. The most critical updates have been made to the Goal and Policy Framework and Land Development Toolkit. The Maps have not been updated.
